My parents became good friends with a Syrian refugee family. I would say the Western media’s portrayal of Assad is quite accurate. The real situation on the ground is probably a lot worse.

Completely idiotic to rush to war. As he said why aren't they bombing Israel too then? As for the chemical weapon attack, how can you be completely sure it was the Syrian government behind it without there even being a proper investigation soul49 ? Have I missed some information or?
I think the Canadian media has been pretty decent in covering Syria. They talk to normal people on the ground, and not just one side, they talk to people who people who wanted military action from the US, others who are pro-Assad regime:
