On the other side, Finns and Sami people are often told they look Asian. They don't like it either. Does this mean they hate Asians? Some might, but it's irrelevant to this sentiment. They just don't like being compared like this.
I know of so many young Finns who are completely crazy about Japanese culture and would take it as a huge compliment to be compared to a Japanese or Korean person.
But anyways I do think there's a "North Western European" ideal in Europe to some degree.
2) You are talking about Weeaboos with the fans of the Japanese culture. They are another phenomenon. I was one, and I cringe now.
3) Agree with the last point. I think it has deeper roots than the 19th century racism, because 19th century racism did not come out of nowhere. I read a lot of mythology and folklore and European stories favor golden hair no matter where they are from. I'm not saying they read fairytales and decided the ideal, I'm saying the ideal was part of the culture long before scientific racism, fairytales only reflected this social bias.
